The White County Middle School Warriorettes will try to do something only four teams in the state can do on Friday night. They will be trying to make it into the championship game of the 2019 TMSAA Class AAA Girls’ State Basketball Tournament. The Warriorettes earned their place in the final four, on Jan. 31, when they defeated Blackman Middle School 51-35.

The Warriorettes will play at 7:15 p.m., Feb. 8, at Stewarts Creek High School. The Warriorettes will take on Havenview Middle School, of Memphis. Havenview earned their spot in the championship game by taking down Arlington Middle School 54-34.

The Warriorettes will receive a police escort when they leave at 4:45 p.m., on Friday. They will leave the middle school and go down Turntable Road by Fred’s and Payless Family Pharmacy. They will then turn onto Churchill Drive and go down to Captain D’s before getting on West Bockman Way to head to their game. The Warriorettes are asking all their fans to come out and line the streets to help send them off to their game.
