Minnie Belle Myers Scott

Minnie Belle Myers Scott, 91, passed away June 29, 2019, at her home, in Doyle.

She had a degree in psychology from Tennessee Tech and worked for many years for LBJ&C.

She was born Aug. 28, 1927, in Pikeville, to John Alexander Walker and Susie Elizabeth Music Walker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Harvey  Nolan Myers, Jimmy C. Scott; brother, Clint Walker; sister, Lillie Mae Davis; sons, Donald Anthony Myers, Jeffery Lynn Myers; and daughter, Shawna Evon Myers.

Survivors include her five daughters, Yonna Myers, Connie Vinson, Carolyn Dunham, Malissa Fisher, June Myers; 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be noon, July 2, 2019, at Thurman Funeral Home, with burial in Seals Cemetery. Bro. David Copeland will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Cody Cash, Ty Cash, Justin Morrill, Jacob Morrill, and Jacob Turrington.

Honorary pallbearers will be William Anderson and Charles Shea.

Thurman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
