For Makenzie Morton, her White County High School Golfing career came to a close, on Wednesday, when the TSSAA determined that the course at Willowbrook was too wet, and the tournament had to be called. This meant that the golfers’ Tuesday scores would be counted twice to find the winners of the tournament.

Morton, who was making her second appearance, had a tough round due to the weather conditions, on Tuesday. She would finish the round at 10-over 82.

The tournament winner was Isabella Van der Biest from Dobyns Bennett, who finished -5 under 67.

Morton finishes her WCHS golfing career being a part of three straight district title wins, two state tournament appearances, and the 2018 District 6AAA Girls’ Player of the Year.
