Motorcycle crashes with truck

On Aug. 23, 2018, at approximately 11:02 a.m., a motorcycle crashed with a motor vehicle, at Fred Hill Road and Highway 111, in White County. According to a preliminary report by Trooper Cody Roberts, of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2011 Dodge truck driven by Christopher A. Maxwell, 47, of Belvidere, Tennessee, was traveling north on Highway 111. According to the report, a 2003 Honda motorcycle, which was driven by Vincent P. Murray, 69, of Sparta, turned left from Fred Hill Road onto Highway 111 North, into the path of the Maxwell vehicle. After the impact, the Maxwell vehicle and the motorcycle came to rest in the median. Murray was transported by Life Force medical helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center, in Chattanooga. As of press time, his condition was unavailable. Neither Christopher A. Maxwell, the driver of the Dodge truck, nor Holly Maxwell, 44, of Belvidere who was a passenger in the truck, was injured.
