Multi-county methamphetamine distribution ring busted

On Aug. 16, 2017, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and other Upper Cumberland law enforcement agencies joined forces to bring charges against 12 individuals for distributing methamphetamine in multiple counties.

Nine of the individuals have been arrested and currently reside in the Putnam County Jail:

-Ronnie Edward Argo, Jr.: conspiracy to distribute Over 300 grams of Methamphetamine, $75,000 bond

-Joseph Israel Neely: conspiracy to distribute Over 300 grams of methamphetamine, $250,000 bond

-Kristan Nicole Harville,: conspiracy to distribute Over 300 grams of methamphetamine, $250,000 bond

-Darby Dee Brunson: conspiracy to distribute Over 300 grams of methamphetamine, $250,000 bond

-Lindsey L. Goad: conspiracy to distribute Over 300 grams of methamphetamine, $75,000 bond

-Megan Alissa Fuller: conspiracy to distribute Over 300 grams of methamphetamine, $75,000 bond

-Ryan Lee Underwood: conspiracy to distribute Over 300 grams of methamphetamine, $75,000 bond

-Nathaniel Harrison Payne: conspiracy to distribute Over 300 grams of methamphetamine, $75,000 bond

-James Preston Cumby: conspiracy to distribute Over 300 grams of methamphetamine, $75,000 bond

“I am exceptionally proud of the hard work of our Narcotics Division and the collaborative efforts of all the law enforcement agencies involved,” said Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris. “I know how difficult a long investigation can be, and it is through the patience and perseverance of dedicated narcotics investigators that we are able to have results like this. As your sheriff, I am aware that illegal drugs continue to be an issue, and it remains one of our office’s top priorities.”

The initial investigation began in September 2016. Other agencies and organizations involved in the investigation were the Cookeville Police Department, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the Crossville Police Department, the Overton County Sheriff’s Department, the Pickett County Sheriff’s Office, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, the 13th Judicial District Drug Task Force, and the office of 13th District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway.
