Multi-vehicle accident on Allen Drive involving a School Bus

On March 17 at approximately 3:05 pm, dispatchers with White County E-911 received an emergency call in regards to a multi-vehicle accident involving a White County School Bus with possible injuries.  The White County EMS, Sparta Police, White County Sheriff deputies, Sparta Fire Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the Sparta-White County Rescue Squad all responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, first responders found a White County School Bus with passengers had been involved in a collision with a white Chevrolet Trailblazer. The school bus appeared to have sustained minor to moderate damage while the Trailblazer sustained significant damage from the accident. According to White County Director of Schools Kurt Dronebarger, no one was transported by emergency medical services from the scene.

Students were removed from the school bus that was involved in the accident and transported by a different bus. Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol are investigating and there is currently no further information at this time.
