Norman C. McCord, 89, Albertville, Alabama, formerly of Boaz, Alabama, passed away Feb. 24, 2018, at his residence.
Mr. McCord was born Sept. 16, 1928, in Alabama, to Samuel McCord and Effie Bailey McCord. His mother died early in his life, and he was reared by his dad and stepmother, Mary Ruth McCord. He was a retired wholesale auto dealer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Rowe McCord; sons: Danny McCord, Kevin McCord; brothers, Jim McCord, Robert McCord; and sister, Sammi DuPont.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Norma McCord and Chuck Wells, of Albertville, Alabama; grandsons, Taylor Barham, Garrett Barham; step-grandchildren, Destin and Matthew Charles, Jonathon Wells; brother, John McCord, of Quebeck, Tennessee; and sisters, Sue DeWees, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Amelia Couch, of Wedowee, Alabama.
Funeral service was 2 p.m., Feb. 25, 2018, at McRae Funeral Home Chapel, Boaz, Alabama, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. Keith Dodd officiating.
Pallbearers were Taylor Barham, Garrett Barham, Van Ballentine, Mike DeWees, Jonathon Wells and Mark Plunkett. Honorary pallbearers were Keith Dodd, Olin Hayes, Frank Lowery, and Zadie Nell Amberson.
