Oliver Clarence Wolaver

Oliver Clarence Wolaver, 85, of Sparta, passed away March 6, 2018, at his residence, in Sparta.
Born June 11, 1932, in Lewisburg, he was the son of Rob Wolaver and Sarah Pigg Wolaver. He was the husband of Loyce Smith Wolaver.
Mr. Wolaver was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He loved God, his family, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of West Sparta church of Christ, where he served as a deacon before his health declined.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Edwina Wolaver.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Loyce Smith Wolaver; sons, Tony (Christine), Jeff (Jamie); grandchildren, Gavin, Gianna, Michael, Dylan, Deven; and nephews, Bob Dew (Pam) and family; niece, Jacky Newman (Jim) and family.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., March 9, 2018, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Elrod Cemetery, in White County. Derrick Coble will officiate. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., March 8, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Elrod Cemetery in c/o George Elrod, 320 Hillview Dr., Sparta, Tennessee 38583.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
