Patricia Ann Stanakis Broyles, 78, of Cookeville, passed from this life peacefully, on Aug. 1, 2018, at her home, in Cookeville.

Everyone called her Patsy or Nana. She was born Aug. 7, 1939, in Picayune, Mississippi. She married her beloved husband, Ralph Douglas Broyles, on Dec. 22, 1957, in Sparta. Ralph truly was the love of her life, and he felt equally the same.

Patsy was born again as a young adult at a Billy Graham crusade.

Patsy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Francis Stanakis, originally from Lithuania; mother, Lena Arabella Snyder Stanakis, who was from Pennsylvania; and her brother, Wayne Stanakis, who was from Miami, Florida.

Throughout her life, she served the Lord to the best of her ability and loved and served others as well. She attended the Methodist Church most of her life and the last several years attended Cookeville Life Church with her family.

She and Ralph raised three children together: Douglas Dewayne Broyles, Kimberly Anne Broyles Agee, and Kevin Ralph Broyles. She led all three of her children to Jesus as well as others in a service of love to God.

Patsy was known for her hospitality of serving and cooking for others and her passionate love for her family.

She deeply loved her precious grandchildren: Andrew Michael Agee, Peyton Douglas Broyles, Morgan Christina Broyles McDowell, Robert Wayne Agee, Joseph Ralph Agee, James Allen Hill, and Ashley Nicole Purdy.

Her family grew to welcome (daughter-in-law) Cyndi Broyles,    (son-in-law) Robert Agee, (daughter-in-law) Susie Broyles, (grand daughter-in-law) Krissie Agee, (granddaughter-in-law) Logan Broyles, (grandson-in-law) Jesse McDowell, (granddaughter-in-law) Sara Hill, (grandson-in-law) Jordan Purdy, and (a future (granddaughter-in-law) Lexi Koger.

As a result of these precious ones’ love union, she welcomed great-grandchildren Tucker Agee, Bo Broyles, Roane Hill, Abram Hill, James Purdy, Jaxon Agee, and Payson Agee.

She also has three step-grandchildren: Sam Agee, Kendall Agee, and Elle Agee.

Patsy faced the challenges of Parkinson’s for 14 years, as well as other illnesses, and is now in paradise with her Lord and Saviour.

There will be a private family graveside service at Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
