Patricia Sue Farmer Wilson left her earthly body to be reunited with the love of her life, on July 9, 2019.

Patricia was born Jan. 10, 1949, to Juanita Marie Cline Farmer, in Crossville. She was raised by her loving and faithful grandparents, Oscar Smith Cline and Myra Lee Sauceman Cline.

Patricia married the love of her life, Paul Harrison Wilson, on May 21, 1966.  They lived in Sparta and owned WTZX Radio Station until Paul’s death, on March 24, 1991.

Patricia lived life to the fullest, traveling and living abroad, in Grenada, Santa Domingo, and Venezuela before returning to Cookeville permanently, in 2004. She was a force to be reckoned with, cheating death on more than one occasion. She cheated death the first time, in 1991, when an undercurrent carried her out to sea as she was seeking comfort in the North Atlantic Ocean, in St. Lucia. The Coast Guard was called in hopes to retrieve her body and were amazed that she managed to survive what was meant to be a death trap from the moment her toe touched the forbidden waters. She has been cheating death ever since, surviving multiple accidents, illnesses, and unbelievable adventures. She surpassed her nine lives many times over, but her body simply could not carry on any longer.

Patricia will forever be remembered as a fighter and survivor. She adored her grandchildren and dedicated the past 22 years to showering them all with her love and affection.

Patricia was preceded in death by her mother; grandparents; maternal aunt; Nanny Sue Bumbalough; sister Kathy Farmer; and her loving husband.

She is survived by her daughters, Sonya Felice Wilson Mooneyhan and husband Aron, Shana Leigh Wilson Gago and husband Ernesto; her  four grandchildren, Sara Myra-Marie Mooneyhan Chambers and husband Dylan, Patrick Harrison Gago, Patricia Halyee Gago, Paulina Marie Gago; two brothers, James “Smitty” Carney, Larry Farmer; and special friend, honorary sister, and caregiver, Janell Vaughn.

A graveside service will be noon, July 13, 2019, at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Thurman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Miss you so much, mother. I would give anything to be able to cuddle up with you again.
