Phillip Dwight Dodson, 51, of Baxter, passed away Feb. 22, 2004.
Dodson was born March 27, 1952, in White County, to Arliss Dodson and Mary Vanwinkle Dodson.
He served in the U. S. Air Force.
Dodson was preceded in death by his father, Arliss Dodson.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann LaFever Dodson, of Baxter; children, Shannon Dwight and Christie Dodson, of Montgomery, Ala., Tory and Germont Wade, of Hermitage, Tonya Leftwich and Jeff Upchurch, of Cookeville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Morgan Andy Anderson, of Sparta, Sylvia and Carmon Cook, of Lebanon, Cathy and Lawrence Glenn, of McMinnville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Hugh and Barbara Dodson, of Lebanon, Mickey Dodson, of Sparta; eight grandchildren, Kelsey Leftwich, Katie Leftwich, Joshua Hunter Upchurch, Savannah Matlock, Kage Matlock, Cameron Wade, Caleb Wade, and Jack Phillip Wade; four nieces; six nephews; special family member, Marsha Dodson, of Chattanooga; and many special friends.
Services were at 2 p.m., Feb. 24, 2004, at Dyer Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Plainview Cemetery in Cassville. Rev. Gordon Lee officiated.
Dyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
