There is no rest for the weary, or at least that’s how the saying goes. This could be said about county officials as well.
White County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson, who was re-elected to another four-year term last week, could probably say this, too, considering he did not have time to even look up before he had his nose back to the grindstone. According to Robinson, though, he is pleased to be doing the job that he loves.
“I am humbled by the support and trust given to me by the citizens of White County,” said Robinson. “Congratulations to all of our newly elected officials. I look forward to working with you.”
Robinson said he is excited about the next four years and all that can be accomplished. With 10 new commissioners coming on board, in September, he is excited about the accomplishments they will make throughout the county. Robinson went on to say that he is thankful to everyone who turned out to vote.
“Thank you to everyone who performed their civic duty and voted in the recent election,” stated Robinson. “Voting is a privilege that is often taken for granted.”
After the rigorous campaign trail, Robinson said he is ready to keep on marching, with the county’s best interests always on his mind.
“Again, thanks to everyone that supported me,” he said. “Now it’s time to unite forces and get back to work for White County.”
