Rosalita Ancar Haston

Rosalita Ancar Haston, 72, passed away with family by her side, at home, on Dec. 9, 2017.
Mrs. Haston was born Nov. 29, 1945, to John Ancar and Regina Phillips Ancar, in the family home, on Grand Bayou, Louisiana.
She served as a mighty Sunday School teacher and laid a firm foundation within the hearts of many children. Mrs. Ancar was also a powerful prayer warrior at which she tithed her time to the Lord. In addition, she was a talented accordion player. She loved her family with all her might.
Mrs. Haston is survived by her husband of 26 years, David Rhoton Haston; stepchildren, Hope (Ian) James, David (Angela) Haston; three siblings, the Rev. Bennie (Geraldine) Ancar, Ruby Ancar, MaryAnn Taylor; nieces and nephews aka children, Donielle, Angelique, Thomas (Tamika), Jean (Deborah), Gabrielle (Daniel); five grandchildren, Megan (Alex) Parten, Ethan (Hannah) James, Faith James, Evan James, Tristan Haston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Dec. 14, 2017, at Christian Fellowship Church, 2558 Jerry Parker Rd., in Sparta, with burial in Haston Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m., Dec. 13, and 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Dec. 14, at the church.
