Roy Lee Cravens

Roy Lee Cravens, 89, of Sparta, passed away June 8, 2003, at White County Community Hospital.
Cravens was born Oct. 13, 1913, in White County, to General Morgan and Myrtle Demps Cravens.
He was a retired bus driver and farmer.
Cravens was preceded in death by his wife, Florence M. Selby Cravesn; parents; one brother, Casto Cravesn; and one sister, Vernell Polston.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dave and Carolyn Cravens, of Walling, and Jimmy and Peggy Cravens, of Sparta; one daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Gary Meeker, of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Tim Boyd and wife Lisa, of Hampton, Va. LeAnn Boyd, of Nashville, and Christopher Cravens and wife Stacey, of Manchester; one great grandchild, Jessica Boyd, of Hampton, Va.; four sisters, Bessie McClure, of Meritta, Ga., Edith Erhart, of Toledo, Ohio, Marty Foster, of Florida, and Betty England, of Sparta; five brothers, Junior Cravens and Donnie Cravens, both of Sparta, Bill Cravens, of Toledo, Ohio, Ronnie Cravens, of Texas, and Johnny Cravens, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will were at 11 a.m., June 10, 2003, at Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Nash Cemetery. Fate Wilson and Cleve Hitchcock officiated.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
