Ruby Edna Sadler Myers

Ruby Edna Sadler Myers, 97, passed away May 2, 2018, at Life Care Center of Sparta.

Mrs. Myers was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Allen County, Kentucky, to Walter Sadler and Guisetta Bentley Sadler.

She grew up in Scottsville, Kentucky. She married Charlie B. Myers, on Sept. 28, 1940. She supported her husband for 77 years as he served Churches of Christ, in Kentucky and Tennessee. They moved to Sparta to work with West Sparta church of Christ, in 1958.

Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and all of her siblings.

Survivors include two sons, Stacy Myers and wife Patricia, of Oak Ridge, Wesley Myers, of Gallatin; two granddaughters, Kristin DuFrain and husband Jerry, of Tampa, Florida, Amy Myers-Delaney and husband Ben, of Wurtsboro, New York; two great-grandsons, Zachary DuFrain, Elijah DuFrain, both of Tampa Florida; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., May 8, 2018, at West Sparta church of Christ, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Derrick Coble will officiate. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., May 8, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations  be made to the Stepping Stones Pre-School at West Sparta church of Christ or Short Mountain Bible Camp, in Woodbury.

Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
