Ruby Eveline Clouse Weaver Sherrell

Ruby Eveline Clouse Weaver Sherrell, 85, passed away Jan. 5, 2019, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.

She was born Sept. 14, 1933, in Cookeville, to Norman Curtis Clouse and Gracie Henny Clouse

She loved to quilt and crochet. In her earlier years, she worked as a CNA at White County Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman (Curt) and Gracie; one son, Hasten Weaver; one daughter, Brenda Weaver Johnson; one brother, Leevoy Clouse; and sisters, Lovie Riddle, Winnie Cooper, and Dimple Pistol.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth (Jean Ann) Weaver, of Sparta, James (Wynde) Weaver, of Sparta; one brother, Danny (Sharon) Clouse, of Cookeville; sisters, Lorrene Ashburn, of Cookeville, Pearl Baker, of Piedmont, Missouri, Barbara Bohannon, of Algood, Bonnie Tallent, of Cookeville; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Special thank you to the nursing staff at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.

Funeral service will be 6 p.m., Jan. 8, 2019, at Thurman Funeral Home, with a private burial, on Jan. 9, at West Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-6 p.m., Jan. 8, at the funeral home. Bro Jeffery Randolph and Bro. Howard Gorter will officiate.

Thurman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
