Samuel Kevin Cravens

Samuel Kevin Cravens, 45, of Sparta, passed away Oct. 24, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Cravens was born April 6, 1972, in White County, to Earl Casto Cravens and Gladys Marie Poston Cravens.

He was a former employee of C & C Plastic and an avid motorcycle enthusiast until a wreck several years ago.

Mr. Cravens was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Dwayne Cravens; and an infant brother.

Survivors include his wife, Tonia Young Cravens; son, Morgan Cravens and wife Jocelyn; daughter, Megan Cravens; sisters, Greta Carter, Ruth (Larry) Watts, Brenda Cravens (Richard Johnson), Marcia (Junior) Denton; brothers, Tim Cravens, Danny Cravens, David Cravens (Sherry Simmons); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charlotte and Wayne Young; brother-in-law, Dennison Young; sister-in-law, Renaye (Charles) Jones; second parents, Barbara and Lester Cunningham; his motorcycle family; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Oct. 29, 2017, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Robinson’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Oct. 28, at the funeral home. Barry Brady will officiate.

Dennison Young, Travis Huddleston, Jerry Tittsworth, Phillip Flatt, Manny Gouveia, Ray Miller, and Darrell Vandergriff will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hunter Funeral Home, P.O. Box 90, Sparta, Tennessee 38583 to help with funeral expenses

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hunter Funeral Home.
