Seagrave Mortgage is excited to announce that they are opening an office in Sparta. It will be located at 747 Millers Point Road and will be open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Seagrave Mortgage specializes in residential purchases and refinances. They offer various loan types such as conventional, FHA, USDA Rural Development and VA loans. The office provides financing for one-to-four-unit properties, whether they are owner-occupied, investment or second homes.
“We have been doing an increasingly large number of loans in Sparta and the surrounding area,” said Patty Seagrave, manager of the Cookeville office. “Per the Richey May & Co. HMDA Market Share report, in 2017, we were the largest originator of rural development and VA loans in the White County area and have the second largest market share for total residential lending. We feel we can offer an alternative mortgage product for people with limited or no down payments. We are very excited about the staff that will be providing support in the Sparta office.”
The main loan officers will be Bette Battle and Cody Richards.
Bette and her husband, Larry, lived in Sparta for several years in the late 80s/early 90s. Their careers took them around the country, but their desire was always to come back to Sparta. In 2006, they were finally able to make that wish come true.
Bette Battle has an extensive background in finance and is looking forward to working with the local community.
“I am very excited about helping people make their dream of homeownership a reality,” she said.
Cody Richards is a familiar face in the Sparta market, having worked at a local financial institution for several years. She decided to focus her career on mortgage lending and joined the Seagrave team in 2016. Cody is married to Brandon Richards and they have a 2-year-old daughter, Abilene.
“I am looking forward to being able to work back in the White County market and see many of my friends and previous customers,” said Cody Richards. “Our goal is always to work to find the best loan for the customer that is within their budget.”
Seagrave Mortgage’s other loan officers, Patty Seagrave and Mike Figg, will also be in the Sparta office on a rotating basis.
