Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency would like to invite anyone 55 years or older who meets the eligibility guidelines to be a part of our Senior Community Service Employment Program. This program provides on-the-job training for older individuals seeking gainful employment in the Upper Cumberland region. This training is 20 hours per week at the current minimum wage with government and non-profit agencies. They provide assessment and testing services to determine your present skill level and for the types of occupations you would like to train. They conduct meetings to teach people the best methods for finding, applying, interviewing, getting, and keeping the right job. They can also refer you to the American Job Center for basic computer training, as well as other employment and training programs. If you have any questions or would like to see if you are eligible, please call (931) 520-9624 or come by the UCHRA Central Office located at 580 S. Jefferson, Suite B, in Cookeville.

This sounds really good for the older folks. Something that will help with boredom and make the older folks feel better by being gainfully employed and productive in society.
