Parking will not be an issue

It’s that time of year again – SENIOR DAY at the White County Fair, begins at 9 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, at the Agriculture Complex, 565 Hale St.

And, don’t worry about the parking situation that exists because of the construction across the street from the complex, which is normally where the majority of attendees choose to park. Those attending Senior Day should park in the Babe Ruth ballfield, which is next to the main entrance of the fairgrounds, next to the old Tennessee Highway Patrol building. Volunteers will be available with golf carts to transport individuals from the ballfield directly to the front door of the Agriculture Complex.

The day includes fun and games, entertainment, talent contest, good food, and the Ms. Senior White County Pageant. Applications for the talent show and pageant are available at Life Care Center of Sparta and Sparta-White County Senior Center.
