Sidney A. “Sid” Stacy Sr. of Painesville, Ohio, passed away Nov. 26, 2001.
He attended the Painesville Assembly of God Church where he played the organ and was a former deacon. Stacy enjoyed gospel music and was a pianist for a gospel quartet for 15 years.
Stacy was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Porter and Georgia Bell Stacy; one sister, Darrell Dee Guttschalk; and one brother, Estelle Kewsen Stacy.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Stacy; children and their spouses, Faye and Larry Harpster of Concord, Ohio, Sidney Stacy Jr. and Kristin Stacy of Painesville, Ohio, William Paul and Edie Stacy of Asheville, N.C., Karen and Mark Allen of Madison, Ohio, and Daryl Lee Stacy of Painesville, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Lester Q. and Ruth Stacy of Painesville, Ohio; one sister and brother-in-law, Reba and Judge William Weaver of Mentor, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Benton R. and Judy Stacy of Mooresville, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; and one aunt, Virginia Wallace of Doyle.
Services will be held at 12 noon, Nov. 29, 2001, at Painesville Assembly of God Church with burial in Mentor Cemetery.
Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Mentor, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
