Softball sweeps Cookeville

The Warriorette softball team completed the regular season district sweep of their archrivals Thursday with a 3-2 win at Cookeville.
WCHS built an early 3-0 lead and then held off the Lady Cavaliers for the 3-2 win. The Warriorettes host Warren County Tuesday in the final regular district game with second place on the line.
The Warrior baseball team lost their shot at third place in the regular season with a 6-5 loss to Warren County. The Warriors built a 4-0 lead, but couldn’t hold on as the Pioneers came back and won it in the eighth inning.
The loss drops the Warriors into fourth place where they will meet Warren County in the play-in game next Thursday.
The Warrior soccer team defeated Macon County 2-0 in a non-district game on senior night.
