Expositor Report
Sparta-White County was awarded the Governor’s Three-Star Award for the 12th consecutive year at the Governor’s conference on Economic and Community Development recently held in Nashville.
The Three-Star Award is given to communities that have met certain criteria set by the state. When this criteria is met the communities have proven to the state they have done everything the state required to be ready for industrial development.
Each year the community has to be recertified by the state to make sure they are meeting all the requirements to be a Three-Star community. Sparta-White County had a large group of city and county officials on hand to accept the award from Governor Bredesen.
