Sparta Block and Tank finishes off perfect season in Jr. Girls’ Division

With the White County-Sparta Little League Season coming to a close, on Friday night, the Girls’ Junior Division crowned their champion. Sparta Block and Tank took home both the regular season and tournament championships, with a perfect record, winning 5-1 over Premier Collision.

In the second inning, Sparta Block and Tank would take a 1-0 lead when Allison would come around to score. Neither team could get much going until the bottom of the fourth inning when Sparta Block and Tank would put the game away with three more runs to make it 4-0. Miranda, Allison, and Gracie would all come around to score for Sparta Block and Tank. Premier would cut into the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning when Alyssa would come around to score to cut the lead to 4-1. However, Sparta Block and Tank would answer in the bottom of the fifth inning with another run to make it 5-1, and that would be the final.

Riley, Allison, and Bailey would all lead Sparta Block and Tank, getting on base twice. Layla, Gretta, Miranda, Gracie, and Haylee would each get on base once.

For Premier, Alyssa, Cassidy, and Ryleigh would lead the way, getting on base all both times they were up to bat. Kyra and Quinn would both get hits for Premier also.
