Sparta man arrested for theft

Stolen. This 2008 Suzuki G60 motorcycle, which had been reported stolen, was recovered, on July 26, in Sparta. James Allen Bean, 26 (inset) was placed under arrest.

A White County man was arrested and a stolen motorcycle was recovered, on July 26, after law enforcement officials found the bike and rider in the Knollcrest Apartments parking lot.
According to Detective Craig Capps, he spotted a white and blue 2008 Suzuki G60 motorcycle, while on patrol, as it entered the Knollcrest Apartments parking lot.
Capps reportedly came into contact with the rider, James Allen Bean, 26, who allegedly told Capps the motorcycle belonged to him.
Capps stated a check of the motorcycle’s tag revealed it had been reported stolen, on June 26, from Murfreesboro.
Bean, also known as Tap, was placed under arrest and charged with theft over $5,000.
He was taken to White County Justice Center and held on a $7,500 bond.
His first court appearance is scheduled for July 30.
