State offices in West Tennessee and parts of Middle Tennessee closed today due to weather

NASHVILLE – Due to hazardous weather and travel conditions, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has closed state offices on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 in West and Middle Tennessee, to include the following counties:

  • Chester
  • Clay
  • Crockett
  • Cumberland
  • Davidson
  • Decatur
  • DeKalb
  • Dickson
  • Dyer
  • Fayette
  • Fentress
  • Gibson
  • Giles
  • Hardeman
  • Hardin
  • Haywood
  • Henderson
  • Henry
  • Hickman
  • Houston
  • Humphreys
  • Jackson
  • Lake
  • Lauderdale
  • Lawrence
  • Lewis
  • Lincoln
  • Macon
  • Madison
  • Marshall
  • Maury
  • McNairy
  • Montgomery
  • Moore
  • Obion
  • Overton
  • Perry
  • Pickett
  • Putnam
  • Robertson
  • Rutherford
  • Shelby

State offices in all other counties not listed above will remain open. Additionally, some agencies have facilities/offices in the listed counties that have “mission critical employees” who have life, health and/or safety responsibilities that may need to report to work or remain at work during the closures.

All state employees and citizens are urged to exercise caution when traveling today.
