Take the crown from Prince Satan

The fact that Satan exists in the spiritual world as an enemy of God and all that is good has perplexed many. The scriptures never show Satan as an eternal being like God, for he lacks knowledge and power (Job 1:8,9; 2:4-6). Therefore, the only alternative to his existence is that he must have been created.
God is the creator of all life—both earthly and spiritual (Col. 1:16); yet, God is not the creator of evil (1 John 1:5). With this in mind, Satan must have been created with the other good spiritual beings (angels) and chose to do evil. Men and angels were created with free will to choose to be holy and give God the glory (Mat. 25:31). Unfortunately, not all the angels chose to keep their holiness and righteous state: “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day” (Jude 6). These angels chose to sin by not keeping their “first estate” or first place of power/dominion (2 Pet. 2:4).
Apparently, these sinful angels refused to submit to the authority of God and were led in rebellion against Him by one who wanted to be first in rank or power – Satan. This is indicated by the response of the Pharisees when Jesus was casting out demons: “This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils” (Mat. 12:24). Furthermore, Jesus indicated that the everlasting fires of Hell were “prepared for the devil and his angels” (Mat. 25:41).
In the world today, the rebellious battle still rages as “Prince Satan” leads the way for more power over governments, schools, churches, families, and individuals. Let all deny him of this power and put the crown back on the one who deserves it – Jesus Christ, “the prince of the kings of the earth” (Rev. 1:5).
