The week Democrats won the illegals’ votes

The Right Stuff – By Donald Holman
To say the debate was startling is to understate its impact on many of us. It seems to the Democrats the three most important issues are: abortion anytime anyplace; illegal aliens – we want more, and we want to give them more; and healthcare is a human right and must be guaranteed by government. Let’s take these one at a time and unpack their ideas.
We can all understand the fear and shame young girls used to feel when they realized they were pregnant. Their life lay before them, and, now, one night of passion or pressure, or both, had placed an incredible strain on everything they had planned for their future. In many cases the young man was no more ready to be a father than they were ready to be a mother. It looked as if three lives were to be lost. And along comes abortion, and only one life is lost. And it is not really a life, just a “clump of cells.” Surely most of us can feel a lot of sympathy for kids stuck in this situation. What is hard to understand is with all the modern methods of birth control we now have, why are these middle-class suburban women needing to abort children? Can they not take a pill once a day? Can they not go to their doctor and get an implant? If you read the article a young woman recently wrote to the twins she aborted, it was a pretty pitiful thing – kind of an apology for their deaths and an explanation that she had other mouths to feed. Again, we can all appreciate that circumstance, but isn’t a full grown modern woman supposed to be able to prevent these kinds of “accidents?” The short answer is “yes.”
Next let’s take up the issue of illegal aliens. In the first place, can these politicians not understand what is mean by the term illegal? And secondly, what is it that makes these Democrats think the rest of us want to support people who broke into our country and are stealing our jobs and lowering our wages? If you don’t think that is true, can you tell me why illegals are getting driver licenses? As I said last week, there is no overwhelming illegal alien lobbying group that is wanting to give illegals licenses. So if not the companies that wish to hire them, then who? Don’t you think we will soon be seeing illegals driving semi-tractor trailers down our busy interstates? Of course we will. And starting wages for truckers will go down accordingly. Any job that requires a driver license and not a lot of training will all of a sudden be available to illegals. What our Democrat politicians are really doing is they are swapping out the electorate they have now, for one willing to vote Democrat. How many times have I written in this column you can sit right in your community, pay your taxes, go to work and church, and live a righteous life, and still wake up one day and discover you have lost control of your own country? On that day, protest all you want. You will be outvoted. Viva La Democrat!
And finally, we get down to healthcare. The Democrats proudly announced healthcare is a human right. Stop and think for a minute. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are what I think of when I think of basic human rights. Add to that the right to privacy, a fair trial, and a few others, and you have our basic understanding in law. None of these basic human rights requires the action of another. When we declare healthcare a basic human right, that means we are entitled to the work of another. No longer do doctors and nurses perform a valuable function as important people in our community. They are REQUIRED to perform those services because, if they don’t, they are depriving another of their human rights. Have you noticed all those other rights are available to you through your own actions? When the debate attendees were asked if they would cover the 11 million (20 million plus) illegals, they practically threw their arm out of joint getting that hand in the air! Have you ever seen anything like this crop of candidates we have now?
If you are one of those people that read this column and roll your eyes wondering if I have lost my mind, first I want to thank you for hanging with me this far. If you watched that debate this last week, surely you realized the political class is being run by a loud, vocal minority within the Democrat Party. And it seems many of the other party members are too embarrassed or intimidated to speak up. If this continues, what kind of country will we have when the Democrats take back the power? They may not do it this election – maybe not next election. But if we allow this kind of thing to continue, if one of the two major parties of the United States is Socialist, we will not resemble the country our forefathers founded. I worry they would not recognize us now. If some of these crazies get in power, the damage will be enormous.
There comes a time when the Democrats elected are so radical and so ethically challenged that they will do more damage than one Republican administration can undo. If what I have been telling you proves true and the intelligence services of our country were used to spy on a presidential candidate of the opposite party and then attempt to fame a president of the opposite party, do you realize how close they came this time to power forever? And if they go unpunished this time, why wouldn’t they try it again? Can you think of a single reason those willing to try the first time wouldn’t come back for another try? When the truth comes out, you will hear people say, “Well they’ve all been fired so – let’s just let it go.” And so goes the nation. But for this next election, if we expect to stop this insanity, Trump is going to need more than the presidency. It would be nice if he had a little backup in the House and Senate. We don’t know when our chance will come again – we’d best make hay while the sun shines! And we’d better not wait until the week before the election to wake up our friends and neighbors, church members, and all others.
I will leave you with this thought from the King James Bible (Ephesians 6:12), “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Until next week…
