Thelma R. Hunter

Thelma Ruth Poore Hunter, 84, a resident of the Cassville Community, passed away, on July 19, 2010, at NHC of Sparta.
Mrs. Hunter was born, on November 22, 1925, in White County, to the late Orville Edward and Lorene Jones Poore. She was a retired factory worker, farmer and avid gardner. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Rancy Lewis Hunter; brother, James Edward Poore and sister, Pauline Bruce.
Survivors include her three children, Sandra Crouch and husband, Kenny of Sparta, David Hunter and wife Margie of Sparta, Joanne Jolley and husband Leonard of Cookeville; six grandchildren: Kent Crouch and wife Jackie, Kylie Crouch, Lorie Broyles and husband Lee, Josh Hunter and wife Kara, Jessica Jolley and Kellye Ann Jolley; two great-grandchildren: Hunter Broyles and Harper Broyles; and sister: Inez Hughes of Lexington, Tenn.
Graveside services will be, at 11 a.m., on July 21, at Old New Hope Cemetery with Dan Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m., on July 20, at Hunter Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Kent Crouch, Josh Hunter, Leonard Jolley, Kenny Crouch, Lee Broyles and Joe Denny Humphrey.
