Thurman Monroe Hodges

Thurman Monroe Hodges, 78, of Spencer, passed away Jan. 15, 2002.
Hodges was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Van Buren County, to Simon Hodges and Lizzie Sparkman Hodges.
He was a farmer.
Hodges was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Raymon Hodges, Roy Hodges and Charles W. Hodges.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Hermon and Joene Hodges of Barberton, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Emogene Hodges of McMinnville; two sisters and one brother-in law, Aubrey Yates and Alene and Clyde Measles all of Spencer; six nieces, Judy Mooneyham, Emma Womack, Joan Wilson, Ann Kenna, Betty Murray and Shirley Haley; six nephews, R.C. Hodges, Robert Hodges, Larry Yates, Jeffrey Hodges, Johnny Measles and Ronnie Measles; and several cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Jan. 17, 2002, at Love- Cantrell & Cope Spencer Chapel with burial in Hodges Cemetery. Fate Wilson and Tom Farmer will officiate.
Love-Cantrell & Cope Spencer Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
