UDC members attend convention

Sixteen Tennessee Division United Daughters of the Confederacy members recently attended the 124th Annual UDC General Convention held at the Renaissance Work Golf Village Resort, in St. Augustine, Florida.
The Tennessee Division received 18 awards. Captain Sally Tompkins 2123 member Donna Hamilton received the Perdue Cup for the most interesting and original diary of a Confederate Soldier. Pamela Wood received the Wittichen Trophy of the Division securing the best collection of Confederate letters. The President’s Trophy was presented to Division President Matilda Speck for the Best Division President’s Report. Betty Ledbetter served as Convention Page. Reporting on the Monument and Memorial Markers Committee was General Chairman Barbara Parsons.
