Vehicle rolled during collision Thursday night on Memorial Highway

Emergency responders were forced to partially close one lane of traffic as they dealt with a multi-vehicle collision that resulted in at least one being transported to the hospital and one being transported to the justice center.
At approximately 8:05 p.m. on Sept. 21, 2017, the White County Emergency E-911 Communications Center received notification regarding a multi-vehicle collision with possible injuries. The incident occurred on Memorial Highway, Hwy 70S.
Doyle, Mt. Gilead, Central View, and Hickory Valley volunteer fire departments; White County Sheriff Department, Sparta-White County Rescue Squad, and White County Emergency Medical Service were all dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered one vehicle with heavy front-end damage in the roadway and another vehicle flipped onto its side in the ditch line. One lane of traffic was closed while emergency responders worked the crash scene.
Rescue and medical responders rendered aid to those involved in the incident and transported at least one person to a nearby hospital. Firefighters secured the scene and ensured the vehicles involved were safely secured.
Deputies with the White County Sheriff Department are in charge of the investigation. One person involved in the incident was detained at the scene and transported to the White County Justice Center.
