Vivian Tennie Parks Spivey, 73, of Sparta, passed away July 11, 2011, at Erlanger Hospital, in Chattanooga.
Ms. Spivey was born July 7, 1938, in White County, to Fred and Florence Williams Parks.
She was a factory worker and employed at NHC Healthcare of Sparta for 15 years.
Ms. Spivey was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jessie Vaughn, Dixie Cunningham; brother, Buster Parks; two children, Liddle Rose Marie Spivey, Vivian Darlene Spivey Steele; and two grandchildren, O.V. Spivey, Bradley Alan Spivey.
Survivors include daughter, Charlotte Spivey Young and husband Howard Wayne Young; four sons, Clyde Spivey Jr. and wife Brenda Young Spivey, Ray Spivey and wife Connie Yates Spivey, Johnny Spivey and wife Sue Cooper Spivey, David Spivey and wife Sherry Jenkins Spivey;14 grandchildren, Renaye Spivey Jones, Tonia Young Cravens, Dennison Young, Robert Steele, Christy Steele, Tammy Sue Steele, Stacy Spivey, Joshua Kirby, Dana Spivey Cantrell, Todd Spivey, John Spivey, Tyler Spivey, Makelia Sylveste, Kalin Kirby; 21 great-grandchildren: Takielia Spivey, Chance Jones, Faith Jones, Morgan Cravens, Megan Cravens, Ray Miller, Jr., Cody Miller, Keaton Steele, Christian Steele, Takotda Steele, Allyson Young, Brandon Young, Dylan Wendt, Austin Wendt, Rayne Dodson, Cayden Kirby, Kyanna Kirby, Brooke Spivey, Danielle Spivey, Devon Cantrell and Katlyn Spivey; sister, Allie Posekany; brothers, Sonny Parks, Henry Parks; sister-in-law, Judy Parks; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., July 15, 2011, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Cemetery. David Lee England will officiate. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m., July 14, at the funeral home.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
