Volleyball team wins two straight to start the week

The young White County High School Warriorette volleyball team continues to grow with each match and is looking like they are starting to put it together at the right time.
The Warriorettes opened up their week winning two straight games against Clarkrange and Stone Memorial High School, on Monday and Tuesday nights.
On Monday night, the Warriorettes made quick work of Clarkrange, winning the match in straight sets. The Warriorettes would win the first set 25-21, and in the second set, they would win 25-10. Lauren Turner finished the night with four kills, and Hannah Kate Sims had three.
On Tuesday night, the Warriorettes traveled up to Stone Memorial High School to take on the Lady Panthers. The Warriorettes and Lady Panthers would split the first two sets. The Warriorettes won the first set by a final of 25-21 but dropped the second one 25-7. In the final match of the night, the Warriorettes would pick up the close win by a final score of 25-23, to give them their second straight win in as many nights. Turner led the Warriorettes with seven kills and six blocks. Sims finished the night with five kills.
With the wins, the Warriorettes move to 7-11 on the season. The Warriorettes will wrap up their regular season schedule, on Sept. 27, when they play host to Coffee County. The Junior Varsity team will start at 5 p.m. with the Varsity at 6 p.m.
