Wanda Jean “Ma” Randolph

Wanda Jean Randolph, 83, former owner of Cookeville Kountry Kitchen, passed away at her home, on Oct. 2, 2016.
Mrs. Randolph was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Baxter, to Orville Cronk and Elizabeth Irena Cole Cronk.
She met the love of her life, W.C. (Dub, Papa) Randolph, with whom she had celebrated 68 years of marriage.
Mrs. Randolph was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed gardening at her farmhouse and creating quilts for her family to share around the holidays.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Elizabeth Cronk; her brothers, Royce Cronk, Donald Cronk, both of whom had resided in Michigan, J.D. Cronk, who had resided in Kentucky; and her daughter, Janet Phillips, who had resided in Cookeville.
Survivors include her husband, W.C. (Dub, Papa) Randolph; her brother, Ray Cronk, of New Orleans; her sister, Virginia Lafever and husband Joe; three daughters, Faye Nelson and husband Tom, Phyllis Gibson, Vinita Ashburn and husband Wayne; two sons, Phillip Randolph, David Randolph and fiancée Charlene Flatt; 10 grandchildren, Christy Sullivan, Jamie Nelson Sims, Tonya Nelson Downer, Joshua Jones, Stephen Poteet, Daniel Randolph, Shailyn Randolph, Tony Ashburn, Tiffany Gibson, Jaclyn Phillips; and 13 great-grandchildren, Chandler, Taylor, Nathan, Sawyer, Darrian, Evan, Jaidon, Caleb, Noah, Luchis, Wyatt, Raelyn and Katie.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Oct. 7, 2016, at Presley Funeral Home, in Cookeville, with burial in Allison Cemetery, in Cookeville. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Oct. 6, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chandler Sims, Jamie Austin, Joshua Jones, Nathan Sullivan, Sawyer Sims and Taylor Sullivan.
In recent years, Mrs. Randolph battled Alzheimer’s disease. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
Presley Funeral Home, in Cookeville, is in charge of arrangements.
