Wanda Joan Cannon Forgey

Wanda Joan Cannon Forgey, 79, of Doyle, passed away Oct. 1, 2018, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, in Nashville.

She was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Chattanooga, to Charles Lewis Cannon and Ruby Leola Pickett but had resided in White County since childhood.

She loved music, and her special talent was singing.  Until recently, she was able to use her talent to sing solos at Doyle United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sisters,  Mary Ann Smith (Kit),  Elizabeth Anderson, Phyllis Graham (Fred), Lois Cannon; brother, James Kilgore (Sharon); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Oct. 4, 2018, at Hunter Funeral Home. Bro. John Murphy will officiate. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Oct. 4, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doyle United Methodist Church, 5085 McMinnville Hwy., Doyle, Tennessee 38559.

The family wants to express its deepest gratitude to Doyle United Methodist Church and the host of friends and family who have offered their love and support these few years.

Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
