The White County High School Warriorette volleyball team had a tough start to their district 6AAA season. The Warriorettes started off their district season by taking on district regular season runner-up Soddy-Daisy to open and then had to turn around and play District 6AAA regular season and tournament champion Cookeville in their second game. The Warriorettes would struggle against the Lady Cavs falling by a final of 3-0.

Cookeville took the first two sets of the game 25-13 and 25-9 and looked like they were going to run away with the final set. However, the Warriorettes would make the game interesting. The Warriorettes would cut the Lady Cavs lead to 15-13 and would get close, but the Lady Cavs showed why they are the top team in the district winning the final set 25-19.

With the loss, the Warriorettes move to 2-5 on the season and 0-2 in the district. The Warriorettes will continue with their busy schedule this week playing three games in four days. The Warriorettes will get their week started, on Monday, when they travel to Coffee County. The Warriorettes will return home, on Tuesday, to welcome Rhea County to Roy Sewell Gymnasium. They will then finish up their week by going to Warren County.
