The White County High School Warrior football team is still in search of their first win of the season and their first region win in 21 tries. To accomplish that feat, they must stop the number eight team in 5A football, the Page High School Patriots.
The Warriors will take on the Page Patriots, at 7 p.m., Oct. 5, at Page High School.
This will be the second-ever meeting between the Patriots and the Warriors. The Patriots won last year’s meeting over the Warriors 48-0. Last season, the Patriots finished the year with an 8-4 record and made it to the second round of the playoffs before losing to Summit.
So far this season, the Patriots are 6-1 on the season, and they are 3-0 in Region play. The Patriots have wins over Franklin County, Summit, and Lincoln County so far this season.
Their quarterback, Cade Walker, so far this season, leads the Patriots’ offense. Walker, in four games, is 53-81 for 699 yards, with nine touchdown passes and five interceptions.
The Warriors are coming off their second-best offensive game of the year. The Warriors finished the night with 187 yards of total offense. The Warriors had 104 yards rushing and 83 yards passing.
The Warriors’ offense will look to carry the momentum they gained from last week’s game into this week. Kickoff for Friday night is set for 7 p.m., at Page High School.
