The Warriors’ defense gang tackles a Cumberland County defender in last Friday’s scrimmage. The Warriors will return for their final pre-season scrimmage, on Friday, at Cannon County High School, at 6 p.m.

The Warrior football team will wrap up the pre-season portion of their schedule and will have their final pre-season scrimmage tonight when they travel to Woodbury to take on the Cannon County Lions, at 6 p.m.

The dress rehearsal under Friday night lights will get the Warriors ready for the real thing next week. The Warriors and Lions will play two varsity quarters. Then the Warriors and Lions will have one Junior Varsity scrimmage, and they will wrap up the scrimmage with one final quarter of varsity action.

This scrimmage will be a chance for both football teams to get the jitters out under the lights of Friday night before the official season opener. This scrimmage will be more like the real thing, with both teams going to treat it like a real game. This will be the first time the two teams have met since 2009 when the Warriors and Lions met for a pre-season scrimmage.

On Thursday night, Warrior football fans get a chance to head to Dee Harris Field and watch the White County Middle School Warriors in action. The Warriors will be taking on Jackson County Middle School in their final scrimmage before the season begins, on Aug. 14. The Warriors and Blue Devils will kick off at 6:30 p.m. The Warriors’ first three games of the season will all be on the road. The Warriors won’t return home until Sept. 4 when they take on Tullahoma Middle School.
