Valerie Guimaraes, marketing director for White County Community Hospital, has been preparing for the Taste of Home Cooking School for several months.
Hospital employees are anxiously waiting for the big day. Numerous people have been involved in the preparations.
“[There are] too many to name,” said Guimaraes.
“White County Community Hospital is 100 percent behind the Taste of Home Cooking School.”
WCCH will have a booth available for the public to visit at the show.
“[We have been] gathering information from different departments and doctors to have available for attendees,” stated Guimaraes.
Dr. Jeffery Loveland will be manning the booth. Loveland is a podiatrist and is the newest member of the WCCH team. He is a graduate of Barry University and did his residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital. He will be meeting and greeting cooking show attendees.
This is the 6th Annual Taste of Home Cooking School and WCCH has been a proud sponsor for all six years.
“It is a wonderful community event,” said Guimaraes, “and we embrace any opportunity to show our support of the community.”
In addition to the cooking school, the hospital sponsors numerous other events in White County.
The Taste of Home Cooking School will be held on 7 p.m., Oct 25, and is expected to sell out quickly. Residents from all over the Upper Cumberland are expected to attend the event.
