WCHS archery team picks up two more wins

The White County High School archery team closed out its regular season this past Saturday by picking up a win in a tournament, in Warren County. The archery team also picked up a win the week before in the Blazin Arrows Tournament, at Blackman High School, in Murfreesboro.

At the Blazin Arrows tournament, the archery team had four members place. On the girls’ side, Alexis Smith brought home fourth place overall. On the boys’ side, Cameron Dixon was the top shooter overall, with Zach Knowles coming in second place and Taylor Parks finishing in fourth place.

On Saturday, at Dibrell Elementary School, Alexis Smith finished in third place in the High School Girls’ division, and Braxton Hutson brought home a third-place finish in the High School boys division.

The archery team will be back in action, on March 29, when they compete in the 12th Annual NASP Tennessee State Tournament. The WCHS archery team won back-to-back state titles, in 2014 and 2015. The archery team will look to bring home their third this year.
