The White County High School Soccer team picked up its first win of the season, on Monday night, picking up a win over Upperman High School 2-0.

The Warriorettes got off to a quick start, on Tuesday night, jumping out to an early 1-0 lead, with 23 minutes remaining in the first half, when Madison Correa found the back of the net.

The Warriorettes would pick up their second goal of the game at the 13-minute mark when Kasey Scarlett scored to make it 2-0. Upperman looked like they were going to get their first goal of the game in the first half, with just seconds to go. However, the Warriorettes’ defense would stand firm and keep the Lady Bees out of the goal and keep the 2-0 lead at the half.

In the second half, neither team could get the ball past the other team’s goalies. The Warriorettes had their chances to add to their lead. However, Upperman’s goalie would make save after save, keeping the Warriorettes off the scoreboard. The Warriorettes’ defense, though, would also keep Upperman from scoring and helped the Warriorettes secure their first win of the season with the 2-0 win.

The Warriorettes will travel to Macon County, on Thursday night. The game is set for a 6 p.m. start time.
