WCHS volleyball picks up first win of the season

The White County High School volleyball team picks up their first win of the season Thursday, with a 2-0 win over Smith County High School.

The Warriorettes won the game in two straight-sets (25-22, 25-14). Lauren Turner led the Warriorettes with nine kills in the match.

With the win, the Warriorettes move to 1-3 on the season.

The Warriorettes’ Junior Varsity team had a playday over the weekend, but the results from that match were unavailable at press time. The Warriorettes will have a busy week this week. They will return to action Aug. 20 when they travel to Livingston to take on the Lady Wildcats. On Aug. 21, the Warriorettes will head to Soddy-Daisy High School. The Warriorettes will wrap up their week by hosting Cookeville on Aug. 23.
