The White County High School volleyball season came to an early end in the play-in game of the District 6AAA tournament, which was being held at Roy Sewell Gymnasium.
The Warriorettes finished fifth in the regular season and had to take on the fourth-seeded Warren County Lady Pioneers in last Monday’s play-in game. The two had split their regular-season meetings, and the play-in game went down to the wire.
Warren County would jump out to an early 1-0 lead, winning the first set 25-13. The Warriorettes would battle back to win the next two games 25-18 and 25-22 to bring them one game away from moving on in the district tournament. However, the Lady Pioneers would win the next two games 25-22 and 15-8 in the decisive game five of the match.
Lauren Turner finished the night with 13 kills and four blocks. Hannah Kate Sims tallied seven kills for the Warriorettes.

WCHS had one named to the All-Freshman team, Caydra Parker.
The Warriorettes finished the season 8-12 but doesn’t graduate anyone from the team.
Cookeville and Soddy-Daisy would go on to win the semifinal matchups, and Cookeville went on to win the district title over Soddy-Daisy. Both Cookeville and Soddy-Daisy advance to the region tournament.
After the tournament, District 6AAA handed out All-Tournament. The Warriorettes had two members on the All-Tournament team, Caydra Parker and Hannah Kate Sims.
