WCMS volleyball team picks up two wins to open their week

Nia Powers spikes the ball across the net in the Warriorettes’ game against Upperman, on Tuesday night. Powers has helped the Warriorettes get off to an early 5-0 start on the season.

The White County Middle School volleyball team picked up two wins to open up their week, which moved the Warriorettes to 5-0 on the season.

On Monday night, the Warriorettes traveled to Avery Trace. The Warriorettes would pick up the win winning in straight sets 2-0 (25-9 and 25-13).

On Tuesday night, the Warriorettes played host to Upperman Middle School. The Warriorettes first set against Upperman would come down to the wire. The Warriorettes would come back to win that set 26-24. In the second game, the Warriorettes jumped out to an early lead and never looked back winning that set 25-18.

The Warriorettes will return to CTC Conference action, on Aug. 23, when they travel to McMinnville to take on the Warren County Middle School Lady Pioneers.
