Owen Adams rushed for two touchdowns, in Tuesday night’s game. Adams will look to help carry the Warriors to a win, on Saturday, at noon.

The White County Middle School football team played host to Warren County, on Oct. 2, for the final home game of the season.

The Pioneers handed the Warriors a 20-14 scoring with .2 seconds left on the clock.

The Warriors go on the board first when Owen Adams scored, with 3:39 remaining in the first quarter to put the Warriors up 6-0. Neither team could find the end zone the rest of the half, and the Warriors would take a 6-0 lead into the locker room.

In the second half, the Pioneers would open the half scoring, with 5:14 remaining in the quarter, to go up 8-6. The Warriors, though, would answer with a touchdown on an Adams 60-yard run on third down and six to put the Warriors up 14-6.

However, the Pioneers would score twice in the final 4 minutes and 20 seconds to pick up the 20-14.

With the loss, the Warriors drop to 5-3 on the season. The Warriors will now set their sights on trying to win the CTC Conference Championship game.

The Warriors would like to invite their fans, on Oct. 6, at 9:30 a.m., to line the streets of Turntable Road, in front of Fred’s and Essentials Salon, to send off the Warriors as they head to Franklin County. They should leave Sparta around 9:40 a.m.

The Warriors and South Middle School will kick off at noon. The address to the field is 851 Dinah Shore Blvd., in Winchester.
