Mabel Joyce Moore, Lisa Yoder, Gary Sparkman and Susan LaFever are pictured with the publicity check for $6,195.58 presented to the “Feeding America: No Child Should Go Hungry” campaign at the Representative Assembly of the Tennessee Retired Teachers Association, on June 14, 2016. The White County Retired Teachers Association banded together with other local chapters to donate money. This money will remain in Tennessee and will be distributed through the regional food banks across the state. President Gary Sparkman stated, “White County Retired Teachers Association was happy to contribute to this cause. Food insecurity is increasing in Tennessee. No child should go hungry and no senior citizen should have to choose between buying food or needed medicine.”
