White County 8th grade teams split with Harris Middle School

The White County Middle School 8th grade teams hosted Harris Middle School, on Thursday night.
The Warriorettes won their game 28-12 in the first game of the night.
In the second game, the Warriors and Harris battled it out until the end, but the Warriors came out on the short end, losing 39-34.
In the first game of the night, the Warriorettes jumped out to a 3-2 lead after one quarter of play.
In the second quarter, the Warriorettes extended their lead, outscoring Harris 10-4 and led 13-6 at the break.
In the third quarter, the Warriorettes outscored Harris 7-2 and led 20-8 heading into the final quarter of play.
In the fourth quarter, the Warriorettes outscored Harris 8-4 to win by a final score of 28-12.
Nia Powers led all scorers with 12 points. Karley Gentry chipped in 8 points, and Caydra Parker added 5 points. Addison Abel finished with 2 points, and Jordan England rounded out the scoring with 1 point.
In the second game of the night, the Warriors trailed 10-16 after one quarter of play. However, in the second quarter of play, the Warriors outscored Harris 8-4 but trailed 20-18 heading into the locker room.
In the third quarter, Harris outscored the Warriors 9-7 and led 29-25 heading into the fourth quarter.
In the final quarter of play, the Warriors were outscored 9-10 and lost 39-34.
Issac Butcher led the way with 18 points. Ethan Swoape chipped in 7 points, and Ben Hillis finished with 4 points. Brady Lohorn added 3 points, and Grant Miller rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
Both teams will be back in action Nov. 13 when they travel to South Franklin. The Warriorettes are scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. with the Warriors to follow.
