White County FFA hears President Trump at the 99th American Farm Bureau Convention in Nashville

On Jan. 8, 2018, White County FFA officers, advisors, and some FFA members experienced a unique and exciting opportunity when they attended the 99th American Farm Bureau Convention, in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Issues facing agriculture were discussed and the students experienced the highlight of the convention when President Donald Trump spoke at the closing session and signed a bill making broadband access more readily available to rural Americans. Attendees also got to hear entertainer Reba McEntire speak about growing up on a ranch and her connections to agriculture. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue from Georgia spoke about bills that have changed, and he introduced the president.
