White County Middle School 6th grade teams add two more wins

The White County Middle School 6th grade teams picked up two more wins this past Tuesday night when Avery Trace Middle School came to White County. The Warriorettes got the night going picking up a 45-7 win over Avery Trace. In the second game of the night, the Warriors won 36-17.

In the first game of the night, the Warriorettes jumped out to an early 5-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, the Warriorettes outscored Avery Trace 18-2 in the quarter and led 23-2 heading into the locker room.

In the third quarter, the Warriorettes continued their dominance, outscoring Avery Trace 14-1 in the quarter and led 37-3 heading into the final quarter of play.

In the fourth quarter, the Warriorettes outscored Avery Trace 6-4 and went on to win by a final score of 45-7.

Celeste Reed led all scorers with 20 points. Laney Copeland finished with 7 points, and Pyper Price added 6 points. Rylee Savage and Karlee Wilhite both chipped in 4 points, and Tatum Rittenberry rounded out the Warriorettes scoring finishing with 2 points.

In the second game of the night, the Warriors jumped out to an early 11-5 lead at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, the Warriors outscored Avery Trace 9-4 and led 20-9 heading into the locker room.

After halftime, the Warriors came out in the third quarter and outscored Avery Trace 10-2 and led 30-11 heading into the fourth quarter.

In the final quarter of play, both teams finished the quarter scoring 6 points, and the Warriors would go on and win by a final score of 36-17.

Jackson Young led the Warriors with 9 points, and Owen Addams   chipped in 8 points. Caden Mitchell and Colton Locke each finished with 4 points, and Blake Steele added 3 points. Tucker Smith, Malachi Brown, Rex Lowery, and Keaton Sparkman all rounded out the Warriors scoring finishing with 2 points each.

With the wins, both teams move to 9-0 on the season. The Warriors and Warriorettes will be back in action for their final home games of the season, on Dec 18. Both teams will take on DeKalb County Middle School at White County Middle School. The Warriorettes will get things started at 4 p.m., with the Warriors to follow.
